THE FRADU CANBERRAS WEB-SITE

WHERE ARE THE FRADU's ENGLISH ELECTRIC CANBERRAS NOW?

Between 1972 and 1992, 21 English Electric Canberra aeroplanes served with the Fleet Requirements and Air Direction Unit (FRADU) at RNAS Yeovilton. All the airframes were Royal Air Force airframes prior to their transfer to the Fleet Air Arm at various times, often following conversion to a new variant by the manufacturers.

Clicking a serial will bring up the service history of that particular airframe in addition to a slideshow containing a minimum of four images that show it at various stages of its career with FRADU. If applicable, its life as a privately owned civilian aeroplane will also be featured.

Airframes are sorted listed in fleet number order beginning with the prefix 8, as they would have been in 1986 (aeroplanes that had been withdrawn or written off before this date are listed under its last active identity).
